Pours clear orange with big off white head. Sweet grapefruit and orange aromas. Flavor is lots of bitter hops and slight malt sweetness. Medium body with average carbonation. Had a bitter aftertaste that was kind of weird. I was expecting more. I’ll have to revisit this one later.

Bottle at Brickseller, Washington DC
Amber color; big head; nice lace. Very nice hoppy aroma, grassy, hop flowers. Good body, caramel, some sugars, enough bitterness, but still the flavor doesn’t compete with the English aroma.

Pours a deep amber into a shaker. Fluffy off-white conglomerate head leaves sheet lacing as it slowly recedes. Pine, citrus and resin aromas. Tangy citrus up-front, sharp with a lasting metallic bitter finish. Flavor does not match the aroma.

Pours an orange-ish copper with thin light tan head. The first impression of the taste and aroma is wow, really nice mix of hops and malts. The aroma has a pine hop bitterness with floral hop edges. Rounding out the aroma is a sweet smelling maltiness. The flavor hits first with a sizable pine hop bitterness that rides the flavor to the midway point. Beyond that a sweet maltiness, slight roasted maltiness and a tasty buttery note that really adds to the mix. That medley of malt tastes is brief. The pine hop bitterness squashes it. Around the edges of the pine is a hint of floral hops. Very nice brew.

Bottle. Light vegetable underlying the citric and piney hops. Cloudy orange brown, golden creamy head. Citric, a bit fizzlestick orange, earthy finish. medium to light body. Clay aftertaste.

On tap at the Trivia Pub in Moon Township. This is a typical IPA. Hoppy bitterness that slams with grapefruit peels. Hoppy fruity aroma, much like the rest of the the beers in this style. IPA is not one of my favorites but how can you avoid them, they are ubiquitous. Finish is bitter and lasting. I was surprised to find a bit of fruitiness in the background of the taste.

(Flaske 35,5 cl) Clear, amber golden with a small, off-white head. Fat, slightly floral hop aroma. Medium body with a solid - but never sweet - base of caramel malt and then a very solid hop bitterness that could’ve been a bit more sophisticated for my taste. But not a bad IPA. Bottle: Poured a deep orangey amber color ale with a huge off-white foamy head with particularly good retention. Aroma of citrus hops is quite powerful. Taste is also dominated by the citrus hops which are quite good but malt seems a bit too discreet and out of balance. A bit too one-dimensional and more caramel/sweet malt base would have brought a better balance in my opinion.

Bottled. Hazy orange colour, mediumsized white head. Strong hoppy nose. Real hopbomb in flavour, but still manages to be wellbalanced and smooth. Quite typical IPA, but "richer" hops.

Burnt cloudy ochre body, thick puffy cream head. Earthy, grassy body, estery and spicy, floral, with some Fuggles character and bubblegum. Bready, caramely body with grassy, spicy hops, bubblegum, and potpourri, including rose hips. Has an iced tea character. Medium-bodied with rich hops complexity. Interesting and very good.
