Bost-Ale is based on Pale Ale recipes of the 80’s. A light Amber beer with an alcohol percentage of 5,8 ABV. The base of Pale Malt and adding hops in different phases while boiling (late-hopping) gives this beer his character. Typical for a pale ale; dry but full flavors from the malt. Pleasant and balanced aromas of the hops with a slightly spicy bitterness in the finish. Simplicity and balance are key! Bosteels Brewery put his own accent on the brewing process of this pale ale by adding a refermentation on the bottle. Because of this second fermentation we added more support on the hop- and malt aromas!

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een amberkleurig bier met een dun schuim. Het heeft een moutige geur. De smaak is moutig, zoetig en wat metalig.

@home poured into a small chalice. Hazy pale to medium amber, small frothy white head, mostly vanishing, light lacing. Aroma sweet malt, grain, bread, caramel, orange jam, hay. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty, grain, caramel, some sweet syrup, spicy notes. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, malty sweetbitter aftertaste, caramel, fruity touch, bready notes, well-made, nice speciale belge.

A bit astringent. Dry, not the cleanest. Nothing special, could be better brewed. Odd mix of flavors. Beery xmas 2020
