Shot glass sample tasted from Can@Pieni Olutpuoti Humala, Pori. Pitch black colour with mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is chocolate, some mudcake sweetness and quite much roasted and a bit syrupy tones. Flavour pretty much follows the same pattern. Sweetish, but rather drinkable.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet. ABV is 10%. Pitch black colour, large and creamy brown head. Aroma of chocolate / cocoa, vanilla, mild coffee and roast malts, a hint of oak and brandy. Warming and sticky mouthfeel. Very sweet and cloying flavour, distinct notes of oak and brandy, loads of chocolate and vanilla, some bittering hops and more roast malts in the finish. Too sweet for me, really, but still a well made beer.

Sweetish beginning. Sticky, lots of chocolate cake. Slightly bitter roasted. Deep pastry sticky, grainy finish, sweetish sticky chocolate finish.

Thick. Molasse nose with dark chocolate, vanilla and milk sugar. Also flavors of dark coffee and bitter cocoa. Dryish and astringent. Nice.

Svart farge med brunt skum. Lukter sjokolade, vanilje. Smaker kaffe, sjokolade. En smooth imperial stout som jeg absolutt kan drikke flere av. Deler med @vighals

Can 440ml (Humala). Opaque brown colour, small brownish head. Chocolate cake, cocoa in the nose. Full-bodied, robust. Chocolate cake, vanilla, roasted malts, alcohol in the flavour. Quite typical heavy De Moersleutel impy.

44cl Blik van Bierwinkel Alkmaar. Zwarte kleur, beige-bruine kraag. Aroma is zoet en tegelijk van verbrande mout, cognac, vrij boozy, pure chocolade, espresso, hout. Smaak is vol, gebrande mout, pure chocolade, vanille, cacao, koffie, rozijntjes, cognac, hout, alcohol, bitter. Volle body. Alles zit erin, het is erg lekker, maar toch mist het net dat ene om het echt geniaal te maken.
