44 cl can @ St. Mary's Park Aroma has cola and licorice. Also roasted malt. Flavour has coca-cola, ripe fruits, Belgian yeast. Unusual Imperial stout, feels like a belgian strong or a quadrupel.

Röstig-bitterer Abgang. Okay. 10/11/10/9/11/10

0.44 l can from the brewery's web shop, best before December 2021. Clear, very dark ruby to black with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, beige head. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of chocolate, hazelnut, coffee and some dark fruits. Gently sweet, malty, slightly roasty taste of chocolate, quite some coffee, hazelnut and a touch of licorice, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Really tastes like an Imperial Coffee Stout but apparently no coffee was used according to the list of ingredients. Very tasty, rather intense but also well-balanced. Quite good, fits well into the recent range of beers from Ale Mania which were all well-crafted. Seems like they finally stepped up their game!
