Chevy Chase Wine and Liquors, DC 500ml ($4.50): Pours a copper color with a somewhat creamy white head. Aroma is of caramel malts and some Fuggles hops. Body is remarkably smooth and inviting. Bitterness is middle of the road for a bitter. A little bit of sweetness and a tiny bit of fruitiness. Overall, an excellent session beer, although not really the most interesting brew that I’ve had.

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Label is white and reads "Pedigree Classic English Pale Ale" - still 5% though, bought in Spain. Pours golden with a slight haze and an off-white head. Nutty aroma with your typical unclean British hops. Medium body, sweet nuttiness and some caramel. A little licorice. Hardly any hops. 030511

(Bottle, Surjämten, Duved, Sweden, 24 March 2011) Amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of apricots, orange, caramel and slightly earthy hops. Malty, slightly fruity taste with apricots, orange peel and a slightly earthy, citrussy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Tasty, balanced and quite nice.
