Not a huge amount of character, but it is a very healthy fresh tasting ale.

Bottle from Co-op in Cheriton. clear amber colour lasting beige head. Yes some distinctive yeast. Some very dry malts. Its an ok beer. Shame about the pasteurisation otherwise it would have a lot of personality and character and the yeast and dry malt would be pretty good i think. The strength us good gives it body and its not too toffeeish. Good character shame about the depth.

Bottle. Amber with a scummy coat of white head. Aroma of biscuit, caramel, mandarins, a hint of past-it vegies that dissipates. Taste is sweet and spicy - a little ginger and pepper - with toffee, biscuit and some mandarin. OK and certainly has some character.

Aroma: Caramel notes.
Appearance: Dark amber in colour. White, dense head.
Taste: Taste of caramel and dark chocolate, though not a particularly strong flavour.
Palate: Weak bodied.
Overall: Looks heavier than it tastes. Very drinkable.

Bottle from Morrisons, Inverness.
Appearance - Light amber, cystal clear, frothy bubbly head, some lacing.
Aroma - Light grassy and spicy hops, malts, some minerals, hint of sulphur.
Taste - Biscuity malts, some caramel malts, light grassy spicy hops, hint of yeast,
Palate - Soft carb, light to medium body, bit oily. Finish of light bitter hops, some lingering hard water minerals, slightly metallic.
Overall - The tasting may be offputting with metal and minerals mentioned. Iโm sure some of this is due to the โBurton waterโ - this mineralisation was not unpleasent apart from a little metallic bitterness on the finish. Although itโs not outstanding, this lightly flavoured, mellow beer is not bad at all.
