Flaška(Diky, Cuso!):Hazy, reddish-amber coloured, small off-white foamy layer, bready-caramelly nose with a delicate bitter background; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied, a bit sticky indeed; a drier bitterness follows the fruity and caramelly finish. Not superb, but all in all a nice one…

Bottle, thanks Cuso, small creamy head, very hazy dark brown colour, aroma of cocoa, dark bread and some oxidised notes, suprising smokey flavour with dark chocolate and dark bread, light sourness and quite dry, long light bitter chocolate aftertaste. A touch old but still nice.

05/08 A 0.33 l bottle from Csak a jo sör, Budapest. It poured lightly hazy brown body with smaller head. Fine aroma, decent wood, caramel, some fruits and yeast. Flavor was lightly sweet, even more bitter, with decent peat and other smoked notes. Medium bodied with fine, a bit nutty and shy caramel finish. Alcohol wasn’t felt at all, only now I realize it’s so high! Expected less since was quite disappointed by their other beers I had in Slovakia last summer, but this is "only a good beer" indeed.

330ml bottle @ PBF 2013
Pours dark reddish brown with a smooth head. Aroma of sweet syrupy malts, caramel and spices. Taste is caramely, syrupy, sweet and sticky with hints of ash and grainy malts. Finish is smooth, sweet and syrupy. A bit unbalanced and nowhere near an abbey dubbel.

Bottled at PBF. Hazy copper/nut brown. Aroma of marzipan and grass. Mid sweet and lightly fruity with medium-full body and rounded mouthfeel. Solid with mild caramel, candy and hay. Mid bitter finish. The estensive use of hopa is what is really distinguishes this from a Belgian beer in this style.

33 cl bottle (7,5%) @ PBF
Aroma has berries, some brown sugar and hints of vanilla. Flavour is sweet with berries and some brown sugar. Finishes with rather harsh bitterness and gooseberry bush. A dubbel, this?

Bottle. Pours clear ruby amber with airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel with notes of yeast. Clear aroma of hops and roast with notes of malt and caramel. Low carbonation. Bittersweet aftertaste. Too smoky for a Dubbel but drinkable. More likely a Smoked.

Bottle, 7.5%. Fruity aroma, sourish smokey hint. Almost clear chestnut colour. Small tan head. The flavour is mildly smoked and nicely malty. Quite roasted with a distinct but not unpleasant bitterness. The smoke may be unintended, but is is good. Not a dubbel according to my tastes.
