0,5l bottle at home shared with Saeglopur. Vintage 2020. BB 02/Sept/2025. brown color, small off white head. smells like apple strudel, cinnamon, apples, some vanilla, tad medical, bit boozy. nice to very nice smell. full body, light carbonation. tastes of cinnamon, apples, speculoos, marzipan, nutty, spices, peppery, some sweetness, light cloves, heavy on the spices, some chocolate notes, some warming alcohol. finishes sweet with notes of spices, apples and light chocolate notes. nice one overall, also quite heavy, a lot going on, but balance is not totally convincing, a tad artificial. overall this is very good though.

Bottle purchased 1 year ago today that has been sitting in my basement for the last year. Pour is a clear red with a large tan head that went away quick. Aroma is bourbon barrel and cinnamon. Flavor is more of the bourbon barrel some granny smith apple and cinnamon. A bit of hot alcohol hits on the back end. Flavorful but not stellar.

2020 bottle, drunk 10/30/21. Clear amber with a quickly receding, beige head. Smells great, just pure, rich, honey-and-maple-like maltiness. Light alcohol, certainly not hot, with tons of raisin, fig, plum, date and gingerbread. Really soft and even. Very aromatic. In the mouth it's rich, soft, comforting, luxurious. Ginger, date, raisin and rich caramel. Not hot/boozy. And true to form, despite the massive maltiness, it still comes across pretty balanced. Definitely restrained on the adjuncts and just a solid, malty, not cloying barleywine. Very impressive.

Bottle pour as part of a '18-'20 vertical courtesy of AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! It's a clear, dark amber with nice, lazy sparkle and viscosity, ring of khaki head and no lacing. Aroma is strong apple, cinnamon, caramel, lighter whisky. Taste is strong apple and cinnamon (like apple cinnamon Cheerios--in a good way), caramel, much milder whisky. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, soft carbonation, no hint of alcohol and finish as taste. Overall, really, really tasty and lovely aroma. Lovely in its own right. Thinner than '18. Whisky might be a little low but the end product is great nonetheless.

Haters gotta hate, but this is tasty. Pours mostly clear chestnut, smallbeige off white head, some lacing. Aroma is caramel, spiced apple, bourbon, cinnamon, toaster strudel. Flavor is sweet, light plus bitter, well integrated spice. Medium body, low carbonation. Tasty.

Pours clear copper color with almost no head. Aromas of bourbon and caramel. Sweet caramel flavor with boozy bourbon and a hint of cinnamon. Full body with minimal carbonation and a syrupy mouthfeel.
