500mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma has a nice lightly smoky bourbon barrels, moderate roast, and a touch of molasses. Flavour has a wonderfully complex bourbon barrel character, a hint of low-level smokiness, moderate roast, and light vanillin. Real nice bourbon character here. Excellent.

Dark brown, no head. Aroma has a lot of barrel, light fruitiness. It's big body with sweet, dark sugars and it seems richer than most BCS. Excellent barrel throughout. Finishes rich, with a fantastic barrel character.

500mL bottle. Pours black with a small beige head. Lots of bourbon, dark sugars, and red liquorice on the nose. Flavour has a ton of woody bourbon, roasted malt, red liquorice. Lovely depth and complexity.

Bottle @MBCC2023, Red Session, courtesy of the friendly American neighbors. Oily black, no head. Heavy dark malty aroma, coconut, bourbon. Bittersweet flavour, bourbon, coconut, rich roasted malt, light licorice. Good roasted bitterness.

MBCC. Bottle courtesy one of the American guys. Black with a small beige head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, coffee and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet and moderate bitter finish with heavy alcohol. Oily. 060523

Bottle. Black color with off-white head. Aroma is chocolate, vanilla, good bourbon character, dash of roast. Taste is mild umami, chocolate, bourbon barrel, a bit warming, but not overdone. Really tasty!

Bottle (2020) pour from trade with AirForceHops--thanks, Chris! It's an opaque black with nice viscosity, thin cap of off-white head quickly fading to a ring. Aroma is strong, balanced bourbon, dark fruit, caramel, light maple, Taste is strong bourbon, dark fruit, spice, lighter caramel, hint of alcohol. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, nice complexity and achieved with just the stout and the barrel so very well crafted.
