Amber, gebroken-witte kraag. Moutig, caramel, grassig, bitter, lichte body. Degelijk, maar geen hoogvlieger, mist wat body. --- Beer merged from original tick of Poppels Extra Special Ale on 01 Jan 2021 at 00:04 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 7 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Original review text: 33cl Fles van Hopt.nl. Amber kleur, witte kraag. Bloemig, caramel, grassig en grapefruit bitter, moutig, iets granig, droog. Lichte body. OK voor wat het is.

330ml bottle from Beery Christmas Advent Calendar - Day 22 - Deep russet body, thick white top. Nose is malt forward, lots of bready notes. Caramel up front on the taste, really good English style ESB, meaty body. Enjoyable.

Bottle from the Beer Hawk Advent Calendar. Pours hazy chestnut with a thin pale beige head. Aromas of dried fruit, almond, biscuit. Taste is fruitcake, light spice. Nicely balanced.
