On tap at the King William ALehouse, Bristol 20/11/2015. Dark brown with a creamy, beige, head. Sweetish malts, with some caramel, touch of fruit and hint of roastiness in the finish. Good, easy drinking.

Keg at the Tivoli, Morecambe. Pours clear nut brown with a thin off-white head. Aromas are nutty, caramel. Taste is more of the same. Sweet finish. Decent for the strength.

Keg at the Cheshire Cheese, Fleet Street. A deep purple brown pour with a nitro-style creamy beige head; some chocolate malt on the nose; smooth and creamy in the mouth with a biscuity taste and some red fruit; and a dry, lactic, finish. A fairly traditional, drinkable, mild.

On tap @ the Cramond Inn. Pours opaque black with just a hint of chestnut towards the bottom of the glass. The nose has soggy bean flakes. The taste has mild chocolate and nuts. The palate is surprisingly medium bodied and creamy in texture despite the low alcohol level. Overall a lovely mild with a surprisingly good body.

Disappointing mild which is crisp, but only as its lacks character and flavour. Keeps a nice head though.

Keg @ Doocot, Edinburgh [280513]
Had this a few times at the Doocot - today it was quite chocolately, nice dark sweet malts - I just want more of that malt flavour but it’s 2.8% - I’m upping the taste to 7 as I keep going back to it. It does vary though - seemed to be fresh this time 3 > 3.3

Keg @ The Angel Inn, Leeds 2.8%
Very dark chestnut brown, clear, creamy off white head, good lacing
Aroma - no aroma as served cold, as warmed up hint of roasted malt but little aroma
Taste - roasted malt, touch of coffee, roast grain, soft bitter, hint of chocolate, pretty good flavour for 2.8%
Palate - thin to medium body, medium carb, bit watery due to low abv....light bitter roast on palate. Finish as main flavour.
Overall - one of the best beers I’ve had at 2.8%, did try at another pub where it was awful so needs to be fresh. Also 68p for a half is super cheap.
