So I saw Fin’s rate of this and thought I’ve definitely had this. Had to resort to a UT check in to confirm. Drank it October 20. Gave it a 4. I recall being surprisingly impressed. Cheers Fin for the reminder!

Bottle courtesy of Lynn and Barry, at their house Sunday 10th October 2021 after a lovely afternoon at The Crown. Pours black with a light beige head, nice liquorice, a little salty, chocolate, nice stout.

Sample thanks to Ashton McCobb. Pours oily black with a thin tan head. Aromas of dark chocolate and smoke. Taste is dark chocolate, treacle and smoke. Smoky linger. Nice.

75cl bottle from Craft & Berry. Appearance - close to jet black. The carbonation isn't very intense - thin crema head results. Nose - dark chocolate, molasses, smoke and charcoal. Taste - creamy dark, chocolate this time. Still some molasses and definitely smoky. Palate - medium to full bodied. Rich sweet texture, that is nicely swept away by the smoky finish. Overall - yes, like this.

part of a 75cl bottle from the brewery. Thin tan head. Clear black pour. Quite a decent RIS.
