Small offwhite coarse head quickly disappears. Deep chestnut brown body. Sugary caramel and dried fruit notes aroma, very strong, with chocolate and orange notes. Lots of aroma, but there’s something about the orange/chocolate mix that doesn’t appeal to me. Sweet, complex taste of port, dried fruit, caramel, and roasty malts. Dry chocolatey, smoky aftertaste with tobaccoish notes. Taste is also powerful, and sharpish, but nice. A good beer, and a bit different. (0.5l bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger.)
