We’ve teamed up with Reading’s Double-Barrelled to capture a classic slice of Americana in the form of this decidedly decadent Pecan Pie stout.
BARREL AGED
Staying true to its roots, it’s been patiently aged in bourbon barrels for a warm, smooth and more-ish finish.

Black with a thick brown head. It’s a stunner! Aroma of big maple syrup, milk chocolate, fudge, caramel, brownies, soft bourbon, vanilla and nutty notes coming out. Flavour is heavy sweet. Fairly full bodied with a thick texture and soft carbonation. A little too sweet but still excellent.

440ml can SophiesBeerStore.co.uk. Pitch black with thick deep tan head. Good roasted malt on the nose. Sweet overall with plenty of maple, pecan. A little more chocolate wouldn't go amiss but otherwise pretty decent, if a little too sweet.
