Tap at the brewpub. Hazy golden-amber body, slightly off white head. Somehwere between golden and amber belgian ale, probably too low SRM even for BJCP's pretty liberal range for a dubbel. Huge spice in the aroma, thyme, cloves, maybe cardamom, literally smells way more like a spice beer than a dubbel or a regular Belgian ale. Smooth, spicy taste, orange peel and cloves, slightly earthy near the finish. Lovely smooth mouthfeel, lean enough, but no complexity taste-wise. Belgian lite really in some ways.
