This beer was especially brewed to commemorate the 90th anniversary of the formation of the (local) British Legion Branch back in 1921. All bottles are brown 500ml ones, this one best before 17 Jun 2012: poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard in Oct 2011. Very pale ale, light golden body with a good looking white crown on top. Plenty of bubbles rising up through the slightly hazy beer. Next to no smell at first, but as it warmed some citrusy hop aromas appeared. The taste was a good blend of hops and light malts, the hops just about winning the flavour battle. I would have liked some more depth of flavours to be honest, this is light in all aspects, smell, colour and taste. A well carbonated beer, in fact a little to well carbonated, it made me burp! A bit disappointed: I love this brewery and their beers, this however isn’t up to their normal high standards, pity.

50cl bottle shared with a friend. Thin white head. Cloudy blond pour. Refreshing taste. A little bitterness/sourness? Nice beer
