Crowler at home, from BD TH, 21/11/20. Pitch black with a good sized tan head ... good looking beer. Nose is chocolate dipped raspberries, light roast, brown sugar dusting, faint ashen notes. Taste comprises chocolate, mellow roast, dried fruits, raspberry pips, vanilla sponge, brown sugar sprinkle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Well put together stout.

Keg at Dogtap. It pours black with a thick tan head. The aroma is earthy, roasty, sweet ripe raspberry, jammy, coffee, burnt toast, ash and cacao. The taste is dry, roasted malt, bitter - sweet, sweet jammy raspberry, candy, jelly, burnt toast, charred wood, burnt and ashy, earth and peppery spice with a drying, toasty finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Fair, but a bit ashy.
