Bottle from Clapton Craft, Kentish Town on 14th February 2021. Pours black to sepia with tan foam reducing quickly. Malty and roasty aroma. Nutty roastiness in-mouth with caramel, a touch of salt and hints of fruits and spices. Peppery spice over roasty malts in a satisfying finish. Smooth mouthfeel and full body. Superb.

Bottle from Indiebeer, Holloway. Aroma has coffee, sweet berries and a hint of salinity? Opaque cola brown. Thin creamy beige head. Medium bitter. Saline edge throughout. Underlying sweet caramel and molasses. Develops sweet tar/liquorice finish. Medium bodied. Oily. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. At first it's a bit of a shock a - a salty bitter Porter? But the sweet underbelly develops and or smooths out. Also benefits from the tactile element to the oily body.
