Keg at Raven & Bine. Dark and glossy. Foamy beige head. Aroma has mocha and berries. Flavourwise it has the berries. Which are the prominent facet. Underlying micha and malts. Light-medium bodied. Slick to ceamy. Average carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Dece.

Keg at Raven & Bine Southampton, South Coast Jolly Boys Day Out 20/09/2025.
Extremely dark mahogany brown topped with a khaki cap that thins to the swirl.
Nose is chocolate shavings, roast malts, charr.
Taste comprises cocoa powder, roasted bite, toffee, dates, dried fruit rinds, charr.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close.
Tidy stout.

On tap. Pours black with short tan head. Aromas of black coffee and roasted malts. Flavors follow same with licorice and lots of dry roasted malts/barley. Solid

Poured a black with a thick cream tan head. Aroma is rich chocolates and roasted malts. Taste is huge chewy chocolate and roasted malts.

31/10/2020. Sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours almost black with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee, liquorice, vanilla and dried fruits. Moderate sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, smooth texture, average carbonation. Bitter roast finish. Decent drop.
