On cask at JOG Brewery Tap, JOG - Dark brown body, solid white head. Good stout, coffee, liquorice and chocolate, lots of roasted malts coming through, sweeter rather than bitter finish.

Bottle from Misty Bottle, Skye. It pours pretty much black (darkest brown when held up to the light) with a decent beige head. The aroma is nutty, decent hit of chocolate, praline, earthy roasted malt, bitter - sweet, coffee liqueur, molasses and malt loaf. The taste is dry, dark roasted malt, decent hit of espresso coffee, bitter - sweet character, molasses, treacle, malt loaf, plain chocolate, nutty, praline, forrero rocher and just a touch of peppery spice with a dry, dark roasted finish. Fulsome body and moderate carbonation. Fulsome body. Quite robust and flavourful. Works very well.

Growler power thanks to shig. A opaque jet black coloured pour with a halo of tan head. Aroma is earthy roast, black malt, liquorice, light tangy. Flavour is composed of bitter black malts, burnt cake, little thin, bark, tar. Palate is semi sweet, little thin, moderate carbonation decent robust stuff.

26/9/2020. Bottle shared with / courtesy of SHIG. Cheers! Pours very dark brown with a small frothy beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, ash, peaty and wood. Moderate sweetness and light roasted bitterness. Moderate body, slight watery texture, average carbonation. Chocolate vanilla finish. Looked good but lacked some depth.
