The story of well hopped ales voyaging from Britain to India aboard mighty 18th century trading ships is legendary. Our India Pale Lager is a modern take on these ales, showcasing exciting new British hops. The name is inspired by one of the ships that played a part in this amazing story: the Bombay Castle.

22/6/2020. Bottle from Hoppily, Leigh-on-Sea. Theatrical gusher on opening. What got into the glass was clear golden with a large white head and smelled a lot better than what initially gushed out onto the tray. Aroma is malty, hoppy, slightly spicy and herbal, with an edge of damp leaves and cardboard. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Average carbonation.
