On tap at Matanuska - Anchorage, pours jet black with a medium tan head. Aroma brings out earthy, toasted malt, and a touch of very dry cocoa lover. Flavour is quite robust, with lots of deep roasted malt upfront, a touch of cocoa, and some gentle earthiness. Full-bodied and rich for the style. Nicely done.

4 oz. Draft at Palmer location. Decent roasted malt backbone with hints of chocolate, caramel. Proper body for the style.

3/6/2020. Sample courtesy of the SHIG, cheers! Pours very dark brown with a dark amber tint. Aroma is roasted, malty, caramel, milk chocolate, a little earthy and peppery spice. Medium sweetness and light roasted bitterness with a very slight tart and burning alcohol edge. Medium body.

Can thanks to Keith: Poured a deep black with a two finger light brown head. Aroma is rich dark malts and bit earthy. Taste is bitter chocolate, rich roasted malts, light alcohol burn.
