Panda at home, thanks to SHIG, 19/11/21. Deep mahogany brown with a good sized beige cap that dissipates to a swirl. Nose is nutty, cocoa powder, toffee, dried fruits. Taste comprises brown bread, toffee, fruit slice, raisins, dark malts, light spice, cocoa sprinkle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Not bad.

31/1/2020. Cask at the 13th Colchester Winter Ale Festival. Pours clear mid-brown with a bubbly off-white head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, fruit, touch of spice, caramel and coffee. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Sweet cakey finish. 7363-13. 28/10/2021. Cask at the Kings Head, Norwich. Darker than the one I tried in Colchester, more fruity with some liquorice notes. Nice bramble sour edge. Enjoyed this more. 7383-14.
