Our flagship beer, the one that started it all. Our unique bourbon barrel ageing process brings flavours like vanilla and toffee and we've combined this with the malty character of our Scotch Ale to create an incredible taste experience.
We brew The Original using our unique barrel into beer method, turning the traditional beer into barrel process on its head without losing any of the wonderful flavours and aromas from the barrel.

Bottle from a local Lidl. Aroma is malt, lots of vanilla, subtle oak, caramel toffee, butterscotch, and notes of whiskey. Flavour is sweet with hardly any bitterness. Body is medium. I did not expect to like this, but it's not bad.

330ml bottle from Morrisons. Clear brown-amber, small off-white head, nice retention. Aroma of sweet malts, whisky, earth, wood; interesting. Taste is sweet, malty, oak-whisky notes, vanilla; there is a nice build up of flavours on the palate despite it being relatively simple. Medium body and carbonation, slightly sticky mouthfeel. Good.

Malty, hints of whiskey but the sweetness takes it all.

Decently tasty. Mildly nutty/bready malt. With vanilla notes of oak, very mildly sweetness. Lingering oak.

Comes in a different bottle now than the one pictured. A clear glass one, letting the golden red ale shine through. Looks great. Pours to a massive 7cm head which will take a while to go down. Lovely nose, caramel, vanilla, spice, pear. Same in the mouth with a pleasant sweetness. Nicely rounded. Nice malty aftertaste with a slight bitterness. Nice beer to savour or enjoy in the pub.

Clear amber pour with a small white head. Aromas of oak, vanilla, malt. Taste adds whisk(e)y and some cinnamon. Always nice.
