Bottle thanks to RJ5020. Gusher on opening. Pours clear ruby mahogany, medium tan head that dissipates quickly leaving good lacing. Aroma is dark sugars, hay, some rubber, anise, coffee. Flavor is quite sweet, roasty, smoke and rubber plus dark sugars. Medium body, high carbonation. Eh. Probably sat on this too long...

Brownish-black pour with a medium frothy tan head that diminishes steadily. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Medium body with flavors of caramel malt, coffee and a bit of dark fruit. The finish is roasty with a short coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle pours deep amber to mahogany with thin tan head. The aroma offers up dark fruity sweetness and earthiness. The taste is much the same with a mix of caramel candy, prunes, cherries and dates. It quickly flows into earthiness that seems to bind together the experience just as a bit of booze tries in vain to pull this thing apart. Tasty Baltic Porter that is hitting all the right buttons.

Bomber from Liz. Pours very dark brown with a slight, transient beige head. Aroma is sort of a reminder of some sort of English breakfast dark malty thing. It has cola aspects and seems just a bit salty. It’s pretty tasty.

22oz bottle pours an opaque, mahogany brown with some thin, creamy, off white head. Smells like it’s infected, cardboard, cashews, coffee, dust. Flavor is better, no infection noticeable in the mouth, chocolate, licorice, molasses, malt, brown sugar. Medium bodied, smooth finish.

Bottle @ home, courtesy of drfabulous. Thanks! Deep brown/black appearance with a small brown head that dissipates quickly. Toasty, dark malty, anise, candy sugar, chocolate aroma. Anise, black licorice, dark chocolate, light coffee, roasty malty, light bodied flavor. Ok.

Received in trade from phisigben, thanks for the opportunity. The cap comes off with a very loud pfffttt noise and three seconds later I’m sucking suds in an attempt to keep beer off of those papers over there on my desk. Pours into the glass a hazy dark brown with more than 1/2 a glass of light tan soap bubbles. Smells of roast and chocolate with lots of caramel, light aromas of pitted dark fruit, and a hint of wet dog. Taste is roasty chocolate and caramel with a little bit of dark fruit and some cardboard like flavors in there as well. Medium body with an overabundance of carbonation and a bubbly oily chalky mouthfeel. This doesn’t taste half bad, but the over carbonation ruined the mouthfeel and the touch of oxidation doesn’t help either. I did open this straight out of the refrigerator too.

Bottle. Dusty wood, chocolate malt, and bitter herb aroma. Very dark brown color with giant, explosive tan head. Sweet chocolate malt, wood, and moderately bitter herbal hops flavor. Very tasty.
