Bottle. Unclear golden-amber color with creamy white head. Aroma is bready, cereals, nice old world hops, some sweetish fruits (kiwi). Taste is bready, again the same delicate hop profile, a touch peas, a bit caramely malts, grains, a touch of alcohol noticeable in the back. Oily mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Decent, but a bit too sweet in flavour.

On tap at the Brewpub. Leicht trübes goldgelbes Bier mit einer schönen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht getreidig, malzig, gering hopfig. Geschmack malzig, leicht getreidig, insgesamt zu schwach!

Review based on the BJCP2008 guidelines (style 1D). Draft @ Hausbrauerei Altstadthof. AROMA: grainy sweet aroma with some straw notes. APPEARANCE: gold color and translucent. average white head with medium retention. TASTE: slightly sweet malty flavour with a médium bitterness that lingers into a semi-dry finish. PALATE: thin body with low carbonation. OVERALL: a nice Nuremberg Hells.

On tap at the brewpub. Beer in the glass light yellow, small head. Mild malty aroma. Starts quite mild, fine malty, a bit wheaty-grasy. Not much hoppy notes. So the finish is a bit boring-malty. Okay.

On tap at the brewery in Nuremberg. Clear orange gold colour lasting off white head. Tasty enough helles some character and firmness in the mouth. Some hop sting on the finish. Fine.

Draught at the brewpub. Poured a slightly hazy, lovely golden body with an off white head. Pretty much no aroma, maybe some light huskiness? Hay & eggs? Crappy light beety taste. The mouthfeel is nice, mind you, but there’s not much to it overall and I’m quite sure that all four of us who were there considered it to be by far the worst of the bunch.
