Bottle from Tesco. Poured a deep mahogany colour with a thin off-white head. The aroma is dry roasted malt leading to a medium bitter flavour with lots of liqourice bitterness, roaasted malt and dark chocolate on the smooth palate. The consistency is a little watery, but it’s a flavour packed and very refreshing stout for sure. Drink slowly and enjoy!

0.5l bottle. It's pretty deep dark brown this, almost black in the glass and it has a medium sized quickly islandy bubbly brown top. Some roasted tones in the aroma, but it's more fruity and watery than roasted really. Some chocolate paper also, and a hint of thin coffee. Not to bad for a light ale. It's surprisingly tasty as well, and they are definitely not lying to much with the description "smooth and full bodied". Has to be the best mouthfeel I've had on a beer within this ABV category. Heavy roasted, almost burned at times flavors, some cardboard, lots of cold coffee, a good hoppy sting and malty biscuits. Also some coffee acidity in the finish. Lots of flavor in this. Did not expect it, but it undoubtedly is. 25.03.2013

0.5l bottle. This is a deep dark brown one with a medium sized light broen and bubbly lacing head. On the nose it's mild chocolaty, some traces of cold coffee, a malty chocolaty sweetness, traces of something light fruity. It smells absolutely approved for a low strength stout. I'm surprised how much mouthfeel this thing has. Feels oily and surprisingly thick and full-bodied in the mouth, and the carbonation is soft. More chocolate in the taste. Cold coffee is definitely also present in this, and it has a milky sweetness. Some lactose perhaps? A really good lightweight stout. 13.04.2013

500 ml bottle conditioned, will soon be available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.8%. Black colour, moderate beige head. Pleasant mildly roasty aroma, notes of mild coffee, dark chocolate and woodwork, a hint of liquorice. The medium dry flavour has the same elements as the aroma. I don’t know what makes this a "double" stout, but it is nice enough to drink anyway.

Cask at Hamilton Hall, JDW, London. Pours clear, dark brown with a tight, beige cream head. Toasted brown bread nose, some light earth. Light to medium sweet flavor, lightly roasty with some ash, coffee and earth. Light bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Mild roasted malt finish with some toasted, dark sugars, burnt bread, light ash, dark coffee. A pretty decent stout, if a bit light overall.
