Cask at the Royal Oak. It pours dark brown, with pretty much no head. The nose is caramel, dark fruit, chocolate and a touch of vinegar. The taste is caramel, light vinegar, nut, wood, leather, roast malt and charcoal, with a big dry finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Decent.

Cask at the Royal Oak, RBESG 2011. Almost black with a purple glow and lace. Light chocolate nose, a bit funky, some berries. Fruity, dusty flavor with powdered chocolate and a roasty finish. Decent.

Cask at the Lord Nelson, Brighton. Pours amber-brown with a filmy, off-white head. Some light toasted malts and ripe fruit in the nose. Flavor is lightly sweet with hints of toffee, some bread and faint, ripe dark fruits. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Finish is lightly dry with dark fruit. Alright, nothing special.
