A golden lager with a lacing thin white head. A light skunky malt with light chalky notes. In mouth, a decent lager, with some light biscuitty malts. Overall, a good Vienna. Bought in a Dutch supermarket, and tasted in Nov. 2006.

Good beer, one to drink on a hot day. Light body and bitterness. Looks great in the glass.

Bottled. Golden colour, small white head. Aroma is malts, hops, some rubber and earth. Flavour is leathery, slightly spiced, malty, hoppy and earthy. Quite pleasant and interesting pilsener.

Der Doppelbock beschreibt das Bier bereits ziemlich gut, malzig. herb, dumpf, metallern, etwas muffig. Dabei schmeckt das Bier zu keiner Zeit irgendwie besonders und ist sehr austauschbar. Test vom 11.8.2007, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 7,7,6,5,12,6 - 6,40

A little darker than a regular Pilsener this slightly stronger version has a strong full taste. It’s a bit low on the hops compared to the malt but offers enough flavour overall to make it interesting. There’s an aftertaste which is both metallic and a little grassy.

Bottle. BB April 05, 1 year ago. Grainy aroma, and honey? Dark golden colour, semi-stable, rocky white head. Peppery flavour with a slight sweetness. Rather standard, but not bad export.

(Bottle 30 cl) An "Extra Pilsener"? - whatever that is.... Well, in this case it seems to be a stronger pilsener with more and darker malts used. The beer pours fully golden with a handsome, creamy head. Pronounced bitterness, but it’s the nice, malty body that’s the main feature here. 170804

Bottled (BB 09/2005)
Golden honey color, not much head. Metallic and sweetish aroma. Sweetish malty. Medium-bodied. Only faint hops in the finish though label says "extra pilsener". This is more like European strong lager.

Disparate transparant head, fed by big bubbles, in dark golden beer. Grainy nose, chaff, hay, vaguely grassy and honey. Again a tad honeyish - definitely mainly sweet malts in the taste, hints of mint and retronasal alcohol. Light but not watery, mineral water with a body if you can imagine. Just a tiniest hint of bitterness in the aftertaste. Decent pilsener, easily drinkable with some enjoyable notes.
