Can from Home Bargains, Blackburn, as Faxe Export Royal. Golden with a small head. Extremely bland lager, given this is export the brewery must keep its good stuff for its domestic customers! Mildly sweet.

Fluffy white head left a froth on slowly carbonating pale golden body. Sweet, malt & stone fruit aroma. Medium bodied, smooth on the tongue with sharp back. Sweet, malt, biscuit & fruit juice tastes. It's cold, wet & inoffensive.

1000ml can, Royal Export @ 5.6% ABV: BB 23rd Dec 2021. Shared at home with my wife and son on 28th Nov 2020. This is the third large Faxe can I've had and by far the best in my opinion. Clean and clear golden body, white head that tried to stay around for a while. Malty, grainy front, semi-sweet overall. Nothing special about it, just an easy drinking Lager that doesn't cost a fortune for a litre.

Slightly ridiculous 1 litre can. Clear light gold, frothy head, ok retention. Aroma is grassy, malty with a hint of light citrus. Taste is sweet, malty, grain grass, very light citrus note and a decent bitterness for a lager. Moderate malty body. There is no complexity to this lager but I strangely enjoyed the malty side to this. I'm always wary of falling into a trap of rating a beer more just because it has a higher ABV and body, but when it comes to lager there is so little else going on that it becomes a significant factor. It was ok to my surprise.
