Old Tom with chocolate is an indulgent rich combination of Robinsons’ award winning Old Tom and the finest cocoa. It is a superior full bodied strong ale filled with the flavour of ripe malt and velvety smooth chocolate teased together with an inspired touch of Madagascan bourbon vanilla.

0,33L bottle. Pours dark ruby with light tan head. The head stays for some time. Aroma is cocoa, malt. Flavor is sweet, malt, fruits, cocoa. Finish is dark chocolate, some hoppy bitterness and malt. Poured from 330mL bottle. Clear amber with minimal beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate and vanilla. Flavour same with a bit of malt. Medium body. Could be a little stronger in flavour - a little subdued.

0.33l bottle. Dark brownish orange body, off-white head. Arona of caramel, vanilla, dried fruits, chocolate, toast and some booze. Taste of vanilla, chocolate, cocoa and fruity hops. A bit weak bodied, but I really like it.

Pours clear amber/brown with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, chocolate, dried fruits and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a long cheap milk chocolate and fruity finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

10/11 A 0.33 l bottle from Vrutak store, Zagreb. It poured brown body with medium sized head. Fine, although weak aroma of cocoa and dark chocolate. Lightly sweet flavor, dark chocolate malt driven, simple yet effective. A drawback was absence of wood cask notes. Medium body, creamy on palate with sweetish chocolate and caramel finish, touched with little bit of herbal hops. Or just some spices? Anyhow, a really fine beer.

Botella de 33 cl en el lúpulo en octubre de 2012. lote 0301 hasta 04-2012. aromas y sabores ligeros con presencia de cacao y chocolate. Cuerpo ligero con 6 vol. No esta mal, entre la de jengibre, y la original esta la mejor.

11.2oz custom Old Tom brown glass bottle pours with a clear amber to ruby red body that supports a somewhat loose weak tan head of foam. The aroma offers up malts, caramel malts, brown sugar and a dash of chocolate. The taste begins sweet with malts, a brown sugar like note and some caramel malts. Toward midway a pleasing and firm chocolatey goodness surfaces and basically takes over the flavor save for a slight rootbeer soda sensation. Pretty nice stuff.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkelbraunes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch fruchtig, schokoladig, holzig, bitter. Geschmack röstmalzig, leicht getreidig, fruchtig, schokoladig.
