75 cL bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with a small, dense and white head. Aroma is vague spiced and slight cornish to malty. Sweet malty and slight caramelish flavoured. Light bitterness and vague spiced note. Ends dry.

Bottle, 7.4%. Mild, sweetish aroma. Clear golden colour. Big stable white head. The flavour is sweet and a little yeasty. Has a little alcohol in the finish along wth a rough bitterness. A bit too sweet, even though it is almost balanced by the alcohol.

Pours nice with a big white pillow, scent of sour grains and alcohol. Heavy taste of grass and grains, some syrupiness. Okay mouthfeel. All right, but not the best bière de garde out there.

Bottled at 3 Små Rum, Göteborg. Pale golden, absolutely no head. Grassy nose with some corn. Sweet and medium bodied. Very simple: too thin and fruity. Some hay-like hops are there, but it’s overpowered by syrup, alcohol and fruit. Seemingly dead, despite still being young and bottle undamaged.

1 litre bottle from Franglais, Calais. Golden beer with fluffy white head. Yeast, hoppy bière de garde aroma. OK in mouth, some boiled sweet flavours and then a hoppy finish. Went well with the roast chicken I was eating at the time.
