In 1410, Waterland was owned by Count William VI. His treasurer Willem Eggert had to restore order and in 1410 he obteined the fiefdom of Purmerend. On the occasion of this event, SNAB brewed this specialty beer 600 years later. Willem Eggert build Purmersteijn castle. He died in 1417. 1410 is a unique, distinctive specialty beer with a pleasant balance between fruitiness and hop bitterness.
