Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, one of several beers Jandrain-Jandrenouille brews exclusively for these two legendary Brussels craft beer pubs. Stable, lightly lacing, off-white head remaining closed for most of the time, straw blonde robe with greenish tinge, visibly sparkling, lightly hazy. Aroma is unfortunately impaired with DMS (cooked white cabbage) and quite heavily so, otherwise releases hints of banana, flowers, pineapple, soggy white bread, bubblegum, grass, peach - very Belgian profile. Fruity onset, banana ester, pear, peach, gooseberry, sweetish with a light sourish hint, medium carbonated, minerally; bready middle with soft and smooth mouthfeel, leading to a long, tonic water-like, peppery hop bitter finish, ’noble’ and floral with adequate bitterness against the initial sweetishness, some warming, gin-like alcohol and retronasal phenols as well. Hopped up tripel like there are so many nowadays, decent but too bad for the DMS, which I am very sensitive to.

Tap at Moeder Lambic. Slightly funky, spicy, kind of saisony. Easy drinking, fruity. Moderate body and carbonation. Very good.

[9/27/16] Draught at Moeder Lambic Fontainas in Brussels. Hazy golden. Aroma is fruity, spicy, yeast, flowers. Sweetish flavor, fruity, spicy phenols, yeast, and a bitter finish with a bit of alcohol.

From tap. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is estery to slight phenolic. Toasted malty. Sweet, almost caramelish. Solid bitterness, light estery fruity note swept through. Dry, bitter and light fruity far finish.

Draft @ Dieu du Ciel Péché Day, Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Thanks Antoine. Dorée, col crémeux blanc. Arôme est plaisant versant vers un houblonné fruité, vert frais assez noble. Rétro malté pils. Palais est dans la lignée de JJ avec une base malté belge oscillant entre pâle et pils, fini fruité houblonné plus marqué qui offre un profil agrumes. Le tout demeure sec, finement râpeux en fin de bouche.

Pours clear blonde. Good white head.. Smell is light bitter. taste bitter, Sharp, full grains, aromatic, green hoppy. Nice !
