Kasteel Blond is beautifully balanced with hop bitters and malty aromas. The hints of fruit from the yeast are reminiscent of citrus fruits. The beautiful balance makes the beer mild in the aftertaste and is therefore an excellent thirst-quencher.

Helder geel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitter en fris fruitig met iets van vanille. Geheel is wat waterig, smaak blijft gemiddeld lang hangen.

33 cl. bottle poured in to a Trappist glass. Deep, golden colour with a dense, white head. Fruity aroma with yeasts, pale malts, a herbal bitterness, light citrus notes and hay. Taste is light sweet. Medium to full body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes drying and fruity-bitter with herbal hops and pale malts. Faint alcohol notes. A Belgian Blonde with Pilsener accents.

330ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours clear gold with a decent white head. Light fruit and bread aromas, touch of almonds. Taste has a solid Belgian yeast vibe, more bread, light honey sweetness. Not bad.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden with a proportionate head. Nose - orange and peach. Taste - apricots and a light custard note. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a tangy but thin finish. Overall - decent but not as complex as most Belgian beers.

The little sister of Kasteelbier Tripel, tasted from tap. Very bright, ’pils’-like golden colour, snow white head. Fruity and sweetish, bit honeyish, otherwise rather one-dimensional. Relatively enjoyable but a bit too close to a plain strong lager to be a good Belgian. That is all I remember for now, but since this is relatively easy to find, I’ll re-rate it as soon as I have a new bottle.

0,33L bottle, BB 07.2015. Pours clear golden with white head. The head stays for a moment. Aroma is sweet, yeast, fresh fruits, and spices. Flavor is sweet and sour, fruits, spices, and citrus. Finish has some bitterness and hint of alcohol. Overall: simple brew, easy to drink.

Clear golden colour, one finger frothy white head, good retention, creamy layer remains, fair lacing. Aroma sweet malty, grain, caramel, dough, citrus. Rather bland taste, moderate medium sweet, slightly bitter. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, ’flat’ mouthfeel, sweetbitter aftertaste, metallic notes, disappointing brew.
