Old rating - A 330ml bottle collected from the brewery a couple of years ago. Pours a dark red-brown with a white head. Aromas & tastes of caramel, red fruits, roasted nuts, spice & malts. Medium body. A hoppy bitter finish. Outstanding.

Opaque deep amber colour, mid-sized lasting, creamy, beige head, very heavy lacing. Aroma sweet malt, overripe fruit (bit sourish impression), raisins, fruit syrup, caramel, wood notes. Taste medium sweet and bitter, malty and bittering hops, caramel, spicy notes. Lingering dry bittersweet aftertaste, malty and earthy notes, bit resinous. Medium body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation, complex and tasty beer, good but not easy brew.

330ml bottle, lot 151, bought at Village De La Bière a few yeas ago. Hazy amber coloured body. Remaining beige head. Clingy lacing. Inviting smell of dried fruits and caramel malts. Blended taste profile of pine, plums, earth and caramel. Malt-fruity finish. Fine bodied. Likable. (Joint session with Finn and djoeye, Tromsø 01.08.2017).

Holziger, trocken hopfiger Antrunk. Grasig bitter, trocken bleibend, mit der Zeit mild süß. Spritzig, der Hopfen steigert sich deutlich. Dann auch malzig wobei der voluminöse Hopfen im Vordergrund bleibt. Langer, hopfig bitterer Nachgeschmack. Gut! 11/12/9/12/10/12

Bottle from Village De La Bière, Strasbourg consumed at Fischers Fritz Camping, Kirchner, Nr Zurich, Switzerland, Thursday 23rd June 2016. Very much a dark amber coloured beer with a foamy white/off-white head. Smells a bit like brewing day on the nose but more malty than hoppy, a little fruity but not so much, the maltiness has a damp aroma to it. Once again I get too much residual sweetness. It’s ok. At a tasting, thanks, small stable off white head, cloudy lightish brown color, jammy aroma with some stale grains and bread, light fruity, grainy flavor with some herbal bitterness, long bitter aftertaste, not too pleasant. Much too old.

Cloudy copper color with a creamy off-white head with medium duration. Aroma has notes of resins with light caramelish hints. Flavor has a decent bitterness with good duration, light caramel, notes of grapefruit and orange with yeasty notes. Good bitterness in the final with good duration.
