Bottle, 5.1% as Kloster Spezial Export. Aroma of ashes. Clear golden colour. Good stable white head. The flavour is lagery, slightly grainy, but not too sour. Has a watery finish. Bready and a bit astringent aftertaste.

Bottle from MichaelAwesome - thanks! Pours clear pale golden with airy but stable white head. Clear aroma of yeats and malt, with some hoppy notes. Sweetish, malt and estery flavour with bitter notes of hops and paper. Rather watery despite the medium to high carbonation. Drinkable but not anything special. Reasonable for the style, though.

Bottle as Kloster Spezial Export. Clear golden with small white head. Light malty and herbal. Light dried fruits. Light sweet with soft bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Everything is quite light and delicate here, so it’s not very exciting but it’s pleasant to drink and there’s nothing off at all. Decent beer.

A rather pedestrian Helle, contratc brewed by Dinkelacker, picked up in a Edeka market in Germany. My guess it is brewed for the supermarket crowd, nothing stands out from this beer. Smell is almost non-existant, flavor barely there. This is labeled as an export, giving it a higher alcohol content, but that’s about all it has on it’s side. Still better than mass market American beer, but there si definitely much better to be found in Germany....

Bottled (thanks fonefan!). Golden colour, small white fluffy head. Aroma is fruity, bready malty, slightly herbal and mildly grassy. Flavour is pleasant fruityness along with bready malts, some herbal notes as well as some slight nectary/wooden notes. Quite sweet, but balanced.
