By definition, an India pale ale is hoppier and higher in alcohol than its little brother, pale ale—and we deliver in spades. One of the most well-respected and best-selling IPAs in the country, this golden beauty explodes with tropical, citrusy, piney hop flavors and aromas, all perfectly balanced by a subtle malt character. This crisp, extra hoppy brew is hugely refreshing on a hot day, but will always deliver no matter when you choose to drink it.

From tap at Craft & Draft, Amsterdam. Aroma is fruity hops, grapefruit, tropical, some biscuit malt, pine resin. Flavour is lightly sweetish with a potent bitter finish. Body is medium. Very hoppy with some malty notes. A very fine IPA.

Big head and citrusy-hop aroma start off nicely on top a beer that is just a shade lighter than many IPA's. The body was a little thin and the finish was short. With an IPA like Ruination, I don't know why they need this beer.

Can from Beer52. Slightly murky golden dark orange with a small white top. Aroma has a pleasant tangerine, peach, pine, light earthiness. Taste is quite piney and dry from start but there is a good fruitiness with tangerines and grapefruit, quite bitter and a touch leafy with some hop spice. Medium bodied, slick, fine carbonation. It's clean, tastes half-filtered, but that's probably due to it being mass produced these days. I was never going to drink this at its peak but nonetheless it's still a tasty IPA.

Keg at Euston Tap. Aroma is caramel and malt led. Resinous edge. Clear amber. Foamy white head has staying power. Bitter and resinous intro. Spicy edge. Develops a combination of fruitiness and caramel. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Sticky. Soft carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Pack yet still bitter WIPA.

Can from Asda after a particularly horrendous day at work. Great pour into the pint glass with a really hazy and hop driven look. This is a proper macro craft ipa. Hops, mouthfeel, look and nothing that special. Maybe this is old school craft ipa, but I've definitely had much better.

12oz bottle. Pours clear gold with a minimal white head. Aroma is dank and resinous, some caramel malts. Flavour is very dank up front, nice bitter resinous finish. Mouthfeel is smooth with solid carbonation. Excellent.
