I don’t get the rough ratings. Some really nice funk in the aroma with some yeasty tropical fruits. Maybe a tad more on the side of a triple than a saison, but still quite nice. Mouth feel is a tad thick, nice carb. The finish is medium bitter with a nice fruity, and spicy finish with some really nice funky tang and some earthy, woody, vinous notes.

Bottle: Poured a hazy amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of vinous notes with light funky ester and some oak notes is quite interesting. Taste is also a mix of pinot notes with some funky notes with some oak and light tart notes are also perceptible. Body is full with good carbonation. Lacks a bit of attenuation but I like the fact that the barrel are really bringing some additional complexity.
