Ordinary Belgian trpel, brewed for a supermarket. Boring product, lacks craftmanship and an distinct taste.

Vacation 2013 @ Virton, Belgium. 33 cl. bottle @ the bungalow, bought @ the local Delhaize supermarket.

Deep golden with a white head. Fruity aroma. Also a fruity but slightly boozy taste. Quite bitter. Lively carbonation. All in all a nice tripel.

Oct 2010: Third beer in one of my ’random beer’ reviewing evenings. The 33cl brown bottle was a month out of date for this tasting. Poured into a stemmed ’Hoegaarden Grand Cru’ tulip it rushed out taking all the sediment with it. The body was therefore a matt old gold colour instead of a bright yellow, the head however was a lovely pure white foaming mountain. Belgian yeasts in the nose, with some alcohol esters as well. Typical tripel flavours, with alcohol up front more than most. Not too bad at all, a long way from the best tripel out there, but worth trying.

Bottle from Delhaize Supermarket in Leuven, 2005. Blonde with honey malts and grassy hops. Rather bitter and dry for a cheap, workaday triple, which saves it. Quite fruity as well. Not really special or distinctive, but drinkable.

Bottle looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass very zippy, huge head. Starts strong and a bit alcoholic, quite fruity like apricot. More and more sourish. Finish not as fruity as the beginning, drier, a bit floury. Okay.
