A style of beer curiously born on the foggy shores of Father Junipero Serra's first founding mission. Our own vigorous entry is one rebellious IPA, quick on the trigger, and brimming with a bounty of hop ingenuity. This is a big, bold, brazen beer, a restless vision of a new America.

Tap at Irreale. Quite piney nose, cloudy orange Amber , golden lace. Leafy , grassy and herbal hop base, quite miniscule body, grassy, pine needle finish. A bit insubstantial, leaves you chewing on an ingot.

On tap at Craft&Draft. Hazy orange amber colour, white head. Aroma of perfumey hops, grapes, citrus, malts. Flavour feels artificial, perfume, hops, grapes, citrus, light malty, pine, alcohol. Bitter finish. Medium bodied, but feels light. Not in great shape I guess.

32 ounce can for 9 bucks from ABV. Damn big can. Stands out. Pours a bright reddish copper color with a large white head. A big green hop and resin nose. The flavor is light perfume, green bitter hops, caramel. Lots of bitterness and alcohol burn. Hmm. This isn’t really my thing, it is way too hot and unbalanced. I mean malt liquor type heat. 32 ounces is way too much.
