Part of the spring mixer pack. Clear, pale copper pour, no head. Aroma of sweet bready malts, cherries, and musty grass.
Flavor is more of the almost cloyingly sweet malts. More wet paper, and grassy hops. The finish is sweet and musty, with way too sweet malts, and little pleasant grains.

A dark golden amber bock with a thin off white head. In aroma,loads of caramel malt with light maple and solvent notes, alcohol, mashed bananas, OK. In mouth, a lighter than expected sweet caramel malt with fruity esters, burned caramel, faint German hops, maple, watery bodied, scotch finale. Bottle from LCBO, prob 9 months old.

Bouteille 355ml. De couleur cuivrée et claire. Nez de grains de malt sucrés, moyen de pain, léger de houblon herbeux avec des notes fruitées (pommes) et de caramel doux. Moyenne-mince en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-doux ainsi qu’une texture aux notes sirupeuses. Léger goût fruité (léger de pommes, traces d’agrumes) avec un moyen goût de pain mouillé ainsi que des traces d’épices (poivre doux) lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de grains de malt sucrés et légèrement rôtis avec un léger goût de caramel terreux ainsi que des petites notes de maïs sucré puis en finale l’on retrouve une légère amertume de houblon herbeux (herbes mouillées) ainsi qu’un léger goût d’alcool. Post-goût moyen, légèrement amer de houblon herbeux et d’alcool doux avec un léger goût de grains sucrés aux faibles notes rôties.

Comes in a 6-pack of their 2013 Spring Sampler (3 of these, and 3 of the Spring Thaw). Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a creamy-foam off-white cap that has decent retention and somewhat streaky lace. Big malty aromas of cereal, darker grains, with some light alcohol. Silky smooth mouthfeel with just a little warming from the alcohol. The taste is a little milder than the nose, but still has some character, with bread, malts, caramel and the hop adding a little grass (and peas) to it.
