Bouteille 330ml. De couleur noire et opaque. Nez de chocolat noir, de café mocha , moyen de malt rôti, léger de vanille, légèrement boisé (fût de bourbon) avec des traces de caramel. Moyennement ronde en bouche avec un pétillement doux-moyen ainsi qu’une texture moyennement crémeuse. Goût de chocolat noir avec un léger goût de vanille lors de l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un goût de malt rôti avec un léger goût de caramel sucré. parallèlement, l’on retrouve un léger goût boisé (fût de bourbon) en arrière-goût durant toute la gorgée alors que se rajoute progressivement un moyen goût de café mocha jusqu’en finale, où l’on y retrouve également de faibles notes épicées (poivre doux). Post-goût long, légèrement amer de rôti, de chocolat noir, moyen de café et légèrement boisé (bourbon).

A deep dark stout with a thin dark brown head. In aroma, chocolate, mocha and bourbon, well melding like a nice fudge. In mouth, a smooth chocolate with an oily mouthfeel, nougats, vanilla, very nice. On tap at Oktoberfest des Québécois 2012, Sept. 8 2012.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a medium size brown color head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of medium coffee notes with some bourbon and light vanilla notes is quite enticing. Taste is a good mix between some coffee notes with light astringency mix in with some easily perceptible bourbon notes with some light vanilla touch. Body is quiet full with an ice creamy touch with good carbonation and light boozy notes. Solid barrel-aged offering and something I would like to have on a regular basis.
