On tap at Brouhaha, pours black with small light brown head. Aroma of raspberries, slight mint and some cocoa powder - some spicy notes as well. Flavour of sour raspberries, obscuring everything else going on - not much of the mint or chocolate detectable. Quite tart and a mess - not cohesive at all. I usually can't stand sour stouts and this one is no exception. Again, a big mess.

Dark brown colour. Lots of framboise in the aroma. The palate has a lot of raspberry as well, and the tartness complements the chocolate, even if the flavours aren’t going together as well as they should.

A deep ark stout with a thin moka head. A nice chocolate aroam, with raspberry pulp and hints of mint. In mouth, a cold coffee, bitter chocolate and sour raspberry notes, light yet interesting. On tap at Fête Bieres et Saveurs, Sept. 4 2009.
