Honestly i couldnt tell the different from this and their imperial stout, the Sacrilege. LOts of roasted/burnt malts, coffee, and touches of cocoa, and loads of booze. These high octane beers, and getting out of hand.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours pitch black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and alcohol rich. Light metallic. Thick malty, spiced and slight herbal. Rather smooth and rich malty. Lingering alcohol and dark malty finish.

A deep darl porter with a thin moka head. A nice prune and oak barrel in aroma, dark fruits, soya sauce. In mouth, a superb sweet licorice, plum, cloves, and warming alcohol. Rich and warming offering, and a good 4000th rating! On tap at Mondiale 2009.
