On tap at Horse Brass Pub, Portland. Gold, lasting white head. Nettle, gooseberry hop. Smoked grapefruit.Nice nettley IPA, lots of citrus fruit, lemons, lovely and soft in mouth. Different. Light nettle citrus version of a PNW IPA, it’s nice.

Pours bright hazy gold into a snifter. Bright micro head quickly recedes to spot surface and hug rim. Pine, resin and orange aromas. Bitter front to back with distinctive orange. Not a hint of malt in this one. Lasting bitter finish.

Bottle pours a deep golden with an off white thin head and thin persistant lacing. Hoppy citrusy aroma. PLenty of bitterness in the flavor but thin otherwise. Fairly light palate and a dry quick finish. Thanks to Buck Dich for sharing this one.

I had kind of hoped they would make a more "out there" brew to mark the anniversary of this album (an IPA? c’mon guys) - anyway, at least it’s a decent IPA - clear golden pour with well-sustained head - bright, fruity aroma of citrus and mild berries - medium hop profile, with light acidity, some hints of cherry, oranges, bready/yeast notes - finishes with dried herbs, medium dry hop flavor, and some slight, lingering fruit (mostly the citrus) - a decent beer, but hardly worth of a tribute of this magnitude.

Sampled at From The Vine beer tasting Sep 22nd, 2006: Golden amber color with a medium thick white head. Thck spotty lacing. The aroma is citrusy hops all the way. Medium-bodied and somewhat bitter with a fresh citrus and hops flavor, along with a dash of sweet fruit. The finish is soft, fruity and hoppy. Not bad overall.

This brings back lots of memories let me tell you. Pours with a generous creamy head over a clear, dark yellow body. Lightly sweet and fruity malts with light flowery hops in the aroma. The bitterness follows a lightly sweet start, all delivered with a smooth bodied soft palate. Suzy CreamCheese would approve.

Bottle. Amber beer with an off-white head. Low fruity aroma. Citrus and summer fruit flavor with a big earthiness that lingers. Medium body. Some resin.
