Crisp hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish white head. Aroma of fresh malt, alcohol, strong yeast and a ton of hops - very nice! Full-bodied; Super strong hops show up front with a bunch of alcohol, malt and yeast with apricots the most pungent of the bunch. Aftertaste shows piney and grapefruity hops with a good malt backbone and some yeast to cover it all up. In addition -a full bodied alcoholic flavour. Overall, a very nice beer - more of an Imperial IPA, but a ton of hops show very well! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in San Francisco, CA (4th Ave SOMA location) on 27-October-2008, sampled on 07-August-2008.

From bottle, no 15 at Papsoes blindtasting. Pours hazy orange and with a diminished white head. Hoppy spiced aroma. Soft fruity and sweet caramel flavoured with a nice lingering finish. Somewhat soapy and spiced in the far finish. Solid to nice, not thrilling though.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet hoppy and fruity - the hops giving it notes of grass and peaches being the strongest fruit. The flavor is sweet malty with notes fo peaches and citrus, as well as light notes of alcohol, leading to a dry bitter finish. The alcohol leaves a slight burn in the throat. Thanks Papsoe for sharing.

Cloudy golden color; thin creamy head. Nice hoppy aroma, soft, with vanilla and light spices. Medium body strength, with a nice vanilla hop, creamy malt, long final, with light cookies too. Good, sweetish hoppy beer.

(Bottle 65 cl) Courtesy of kramer17801. Pours a hazy golden with an off-white head. Lightly citrusy nose with a touch of overripe fruit. Medium body with lightly sweet caramel and overripe fruit with some bitterness. Not your typical IPA - more like a Barley Wine light. 301107

Man, I must be in a good mood tonight. Bomber consumed on 3/2/07
Awesome hoppy nose. Best one, by far, that I’ve smelled on a Lagunitas beer. None of that obnoxiously sweet, underattenuated caramel/crystal maltiness. Really fresh, dry and not overly bitter/acidic/piney/citric. More noble hops than anything, it seems.
And what’s this??? Ridiculous white head is full, frothy and creates huge lacing. Very good retention. Clear, filtered, light copper body with lots of carbonation.
Sweet pale malts arent overdone, though it’s quite sweet. But the hops invade quickly, with lots of grassiness and light orange fruits (nectarine, peach, mango). Only a bit of pine sits in the background and actually improves the overall complexity, drying things out and adding light wintergreen and spruciness. Pale maltiness is full of honey and light caramel, with some light candied orange sweetness on the end that helps cut the moderate acidity. Clean and very drinkable, with low carbonation. Toastiness/acidity builds up a bit too much on the finish and the carbonation comes out of solution too easily, being filtered, making it not so crisp as the bomber wears on.
Damn, DFH going light on their filtration again and now an excellent Lagunitas beer?

bottle...mild aroma, consisting of muddled citrus...i wanna swim in its amber wonder and emerge my head throughout the thin but present foam....as my lungs fill with air, they also fill with a wonderful aroma, yum beer...smells like some weird strain of hop or a combo of hops...interesting...taste on the other hand is somewhat average...easy to drink with a dryness to the finish

Bottle from Legers, Berkley; Nose of hops and citrus; hazy gold with a big white head that laces nicely; flavor nice and hoppy with lots of lemon and grapefruit, a little sweetness buffers the hop bitterness, but it lasts to the finish in the medium body.

Bottle: Golden amber color with a large fluffy white head, good lacing overall. The nose is very hoppy with piney and citrus (especially) bits. There is a hops dominance in the taste, mosty citrus, grapefruit, pine, hints of floral, and a little sweetness. A fun and hoppy IPA
