This bière de garde is brewed with a large amount of hops with a strong aroma, which ensures a very fruity, spicy and at the same time bitter taste. In the glass, this blond beer has a clear base with a nice creamy head. The citrus aroma is evident in the fragrance. Finally, St Glinglin houblon has an interesting bitter aftertaste.

Clear pale orange to blond beer, huge frothy white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of yeast, banana, bit dusty, bit off, herbal touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sourish, pretty bitter, herbal, bit grassy, some citrus, fruity touch, pretty yeasty. Aftertaste: bit soapy, herbal, very yeasty, bitter, meh.

Bottle shared with friends. Slight hazy with some small particles floating around and some visible carbonation. Big fluffy white head. Fruity hops up front with some lime and pineapple, light hay, sweet malts, oats, fresh cardboard, bitter herbs, light soap, chalk. Under medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied with a bit creamy feel. Nice stuff.

Bottle brought by a friend, medium sample. Slight hazy golden color, some stuff floating around, medium rocky head. Aroma of cow shit, farm, hay, grainy, slight grassy hop, salty and minerally. Slight bitter in taste, funky, bit salty. Clearly infected by some Brett. This is probably the beer that smelled like cow shit the most. Now I see what some winemakers are talking about when they prefer not to have Brett in their wine.

Aroma: Light fruits and hops.
Taste: Nice light fruits, citrus. Shy hops, hint of yeast.

Cloudy and pale golden color with a frothy white head with good retention. Aroma has notes of slightly citrus, herbs and yeast. Flavor is light bittery, some floral notes and yeasty. Light bitterness in the final with a dry mouthfeel.

Aroma is light to light moderate malty, moderate hoppy, herbs, grass, modearte yeasty, earthy - leather notes. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dusty grass, herbs, herbs - grass, yeast, light earthy - leather - funky, dry. 330ml bottle from Chez Marie, Ieper. Pours murky orange with floating sediment. Raw, floral hop aroma. Strong herbal spice in the taste, green hops & a fruity sweetness. Quite flavoursome and tasty. I like.
