750ml wired cork bottle from trade courtesy of sjogro, cheers Sjoerd! Opened with a loud pop. Sparkling, orangey golden colour, short-lived fizzy white foam head and aroma of muck, apple, funky. Taste is sweetish, juicy apple, tangy and tart, with lots of leathery earthy orchardy funk, along with drying tannins. Medium bodied, soft spritzy carbonation, drying & spicy mellow tannic finish. Very drinkable.

Bottle. Blonde. Appel, yeast and apple pits in the aroma. No abundant apple flavors. Yeast, manure. Very rural cider.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Bit hazy golden with fizzy head that leaves no trace. Thick funky apple peel, hay, dry earthy notes, quite mineral, dusty, soft juice, goat. Under medium sweet, lighter bitter, very light tart. Medium bodied, very dry finish.

Bottle from the boater-hat & eyeliner guy’s shop in Beuvron-en-Auge shared in an Airbnb in Normandy. Pours unclear and orangey amber with some active lacing and transparent bubbles on top. Sweet apples, mold, moss, treebark, massive barnyard, earthy and oniony funky, parmesan, smoked chicken, ginger fruity, apples and pears. Beautiful stuff. Moderate sweet and bitter. Medium body, cool mineral feel and soft unfiltered mouthfeel. Very nice active but soft carbonation. This goes on the YES list.

Bottle - Horse blanket and farmhouse notes. Clearish gold with no head. Dry effervescent, farmhouse funk and some sweetness in the finish. Apple is in the background. Bubbles are quite prominent and take away from the flavour.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with no head. Aroma brings out lots of farmhouse funk and dry yeast. Flavour is very funky, with lots of barnyard funk, with light fart, some smoke and earthy yeast. Light sweetness that is subdued by the smoky farmhouse funk. Great stuff.

Hazy and light amber. No head. The aroma is appley, with some leathery notes. Dry, light-bodied, with a light spiciness, and a hint of apple notes. Good basic cider.

Bottle sample. Hazy golden yellow color, champagne bubbles, white edge head. Aroma of dusty apple and stone fruit. Taste is very fruity, tart, bold, tannic, long dry finish, soft carbonation. Really nice.

2017-08-23, mooch tasting at Matt's, corked bottle, L 15.5, 7-4-7-4-15=37
Cloudy blond color with no head retention. Nice aroma, apple skins, mature apples. Highly carbonated, there seem to be done residual sweetness, the mature apple flavor is there, apple pie, and strong apple skins astringency. Aggressive.
Very interesting.

2010-01-23, corked bottle, from Le Repaire de Bacchus, 40 rue Damrémont, Paris; cork 09-03, 6-4-6-3-12=31
Hazy golden color, no head. Mild aroma, fizzy, citrusy, lightly sour. The mouthfeel is quite dry, the apple is very subdued; at least there is a mild tannins presence. Just a bit above average.
