Standard IPA, which doesn't mean it's a bad one, just not particularly memorable. Hits the IPA notes you want--citrus, a little stone fruit, slight tropical notes, and pine--with a gentle caramel malt backbone and a modest bitterness on the finish. Medium body and easygoing carbonation make putting away a pint fairly easy. Decent.

Foggy light amber colour. Medium-sized white off-white head. Nose: honey, nectar, sugared fruit, pith. Medium body. Taste: bittersweet. Solid malts. Honey. Fruit, pith. Medium bitterness. Old. Could have been better as a fresh brew.

From Aug 2008

Dang, I forgot that I picked this up a couple of months ago:

It started to gush right after the cap came off; I hope it's still ok.

Nice cloudy orange yellow colour with a 2 finger head of foam.

The smell is nice with good caramel malt and some citrus hops...nicely balanced.

The taste has that balance as well. Nice hop citrus bitterness up front and then the sweet malt, and some breadiness, moves in and dominates from about mid palate on until the finish where it returns to some good hop bitterness. Yum, this is a very nice malty American IPA that, I think, leans more towards an English style. I say that because I don't think a couple of months would make that much difference in the taste ie the hop profile couldn't have shrunk that much during that time sitting in my fridge.

Anywho, the mouthfeel actually borders on full & the carbonation is medium. Head retention is very good and it doesn't lack for lacing. Very nice stuff and 1 that I'll look for again.

Bottle @ home. I’m a little surprised that I haven’t rated this yet- I guess I’ll have to make a stop by Bristol next time I’m in the Springs. Cloudy, golden orange appearance with a fluffy, cream/tan head. Somewhat grapefruit/orange citrusy, piney hoppy, slightly toasty aroma. Sweet, toasty pale malty, piney, grapefruit hoppy, a touch earthy flavor. Pretty solid IPA.

Amber. Earthy, woody, slightly mushroomy hop aroma. Moderate bitterness, honeyish sweetness. Woody, floral character. OK, well made but not very exciting.

12oz bottle, bottled in June, drank in March. Hazy orange-brown, frothy head. Orange-caramel-toffee aroma. A pretty lackluster IPA, the hops dont really match up with the rich malts. Comes off syrupy and chewy. A little piny, soapy. Probably better fresh. Underwhelming and sub par as is.

Bottle via a trade with jbye4334. Pours with a small head and a hazy golden body. Aroma of citrus, hoppy, caramel. Taste is hoppy, with husky grain. Citrusy and lightly herbal. Medium carbonation.
